What is a Cycleboat?

It’s a 35ft pedal-powered pontoon boat with space for 26 passengers including 12 cycle stations that are geared to operate a big paddle wheel located on the back of the boat. Equipped on the vessel is our USCG certified Master Captain, First Mate, Bluetooth surround sound speakers, built-in countertop coolers, ice, toilet, onboard motor, and multi-colored LED lighting for night cruises. A minimum of 7 passengers are needed to operate a Sip-n-Cycle Pedal Cruise tour.

What is included in the price?

The price includes the rental of the cycleboat for 90 mins and a Master Captain & First Mate to steer the party in the right direction

How much does it cost?

Mixer Tour:

Adult: $45 per person for a 90 min tour.

Military: $40 per person for a 90 minute tour. (Promo Code - loveusa) Must bring ID 

No Infants. No Toddlers.

Private Tour:

Longer, custom tours are available for additional fees.

Where do the tours begin and end?

All tours begin and end at the Riverwalk docks down the Riverfront Tunnel to the Riverwalk Park in downtown Montgomery Alabama 36104. Walk through the tunnel toward the river and the Sip-n-Cycle boat is parked at the dock alongside the Harriett II Riverboat.

Where do I park?

The Riverfront Tunnel Parking lot is located to the left as you come into the River Walk area. There is a $5/day fee for parking in this lot. Card and cash are an option. Covered parking is also available at 233 Coosa St, Montgomery, AL 36104 across from the stadium at the Coosa Street deck.

Can we drink on board?

Yes - Tours are BYOB and we allow for all types adult beverages.

What to bring?

Adult Beverages, water and snacks

Sunscreen for the sundeck; however, 90% of the boat is covered. 

Valid ID for boarding

Where can I buy items to bring aboard the boat?

There are also several bars and restaurants in the entertainment district for food and drinks.

Is it difficult to cycle?

No, not in the slightest – AND, you and your crew won’t need to worry as we have an outboard motor that will keep the party cruising up the river.

Is there a bathroom onboard the boat?

Yes.

Do you play music onboard?

Whut whut, heck yeah! We have a Bluetooth surround sound system pump’n the tunes to keep the boat a cruis’n.  Let us know what you want to hear and we will do our best to play it or connect your Bluetooth device!

What if it rains?

Sip-n-Cycle Pedal Cruise operates rain or shine! The overhead canopy does a good job of keeping the rain away from the party. If the weather is deemed as too severe and unsafe by our crew, you will receive a credit or refund.

Can we bring coolers onboard?

We provide ice and a souvenir cup, so just bring your drinks.  We have coolers in the middle of the cycle stations and in the aft of the boat.

Do we need a waiver to ride on the boat?

Yes. A waiver will be sent to you or your party organizer once the email address is connected to the reservation.

Are you US Coast Guard approved?

Yes, the vessel and the Master Captain are approved by the USCG.

Is there an age limit for the Cycleboat?

Yes. Seven years old and older are welcome. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Do you have life vest onboard?

 Yes we provide life vest on the boat. Kids under the age of 12 must wear a life fest. Yes, you can bring your own vest as long as it is USCG Approved.  

Is there a weight limit for riders?

Yes. Due to the nature of the vessel, customers over 275 pounds will not be able to comfortably ride on the Sip-n-Cycle Pedal Cruise excursion.

Restricted Items

No smoking, no vape pens, no drug use, no animals

How do I reschedule or cancel my tour?

Respond to your confirmation email with the date change request. Please ensure that you are within the reschedule/cancellation time frame outlined in your confirmation email.

Clothing Considerations

Avoid heeled shoes and long, flowy garments, as they could get caught in the cycling pedal.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

Mixer Tours:

Reservations cancelled 7 days prior to the scheduled tour will be Fully Refunded.

Reservations cancelled up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled tour will be granted a Rain Check.

Reservations cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled tour will receive No Refund.

Private Tours:

Reservations cancelled 7 days prior to the scheduled tour will be Fully Refunded.

Reservations cancelled less than 7 days to the scheduled tour will receive No Refund.

If  the public mixer tour you’re scheduled for does not fill up more than 7  passengers, we will call to reschedule you for another tour or will  refund you the money.

Missed tours will not be refunded.

If a full refund is given, 10% of the total price of the transaction will be withheld to cover the Credit Card fees involved with the transaction.

Tipping the crew?

A tip means a lot to the crew and we hope you feel you had an incredible experience on Sip-n-Cycle. Tips are not required but are welcomed! Industry norms for leaving a tip stands around 15-20% of the price of the ticket.
