FAQ

It’s a 35ft pedal-powered pontoon boat with 12 cycle stations that are geared to operate a big paddle wheel located on the back of the boat. Equipped on the vessel is our USCG certified Master Captain, First Mate, Bluetooth surround sound speakers, built-in countertop coolers, toilet, onboard motor, and multi-colored LED lighting for night cruises. A minimum of 7 passengers are needed to operate a Sip-n-Cycle Pedal Cruise. On our Social Mixer Cruise, you can even book parties with less than 7 passengers and you will be combined with other groups of up to 20 passengers.

All cruises begin and end at the Riverwalk docks, downtown at the Riverfront Park Tunnel to the Riverwalk docks.

355 Commerce Street Montgomery, Alabama 36104

Walk through the tunnel toward the river and the Sip-n-Cycle Pedal Cruise boat is parked at the dock alongside the Harriett II Riverboat.

IMPORTANT: If you are late, you will not get a refund and miss out. Taxis and ubers are late, they cancel and traffic is bad. Do Not be late! Be early! There are no exceptions! Don’t call and complain.

A big reason to book a private cruise, we will wait… but it eats into your time. Please consider booking a private charter, the benefit of booking the whole boat as a private allows us to wait for your group if you are running late.

The price includes a ticket aboard Alabama’s first and only cycleboat, a FREE souvenir cup,  a 90 minute cruise on the Alabama River with a Master Captain & First Mate to steer the party in the right direction.

YES, we have a restroom, so there is no need to slow the party rolling down the river.

YES, BYOB, BYOF, we have coolers so Bring Your Own Beverage (ice, beer, wine and non-alcohol drinks) and use our FREE Souvenir cup. Please no glass bottles or containers. Get wine in a box or keep the bottle in a protective sleeve so that we do not have any broken glass possibilities on the vessel.  There are several places downtown like Chris’ Hotdogs, SaZa’s and Common Bond Brewery with easy to-go food and drinks. No cake or rice(too messy) Cupcakes are ok. The bigger mess you and your party make the more you need to tip.

We have a motor that keeps the party going, even when your party is dancing on the bow.

BYOB, snacks, valid ID, cruise confirmation, sunscreen (even though the boat is covered the bow of the boat has a convertible top). Dress for comfort outside, it can be a little windier or cooler when the sun goes down, so we do recommend an extra layer especially for evening cruises. Avoid heeled shoes and long, flowy garments, as they could get caught in the cycling pedal. Sunglasses and hats are great but you will be seated under a large canopy shielding direct sun and rain. Bring a cooler if you want, however, we are not providing ice. You can bring ice to put in the coolers we provide or you can bring a small cooler with your own beverages.

The Riverfront Tunnel Parking lot is located to the left as you come into the Riverwalk area. There is a $5/day fee for parking in this lot. Covered parking is also available at 233 Coosa St, Montgomery, AL 36104 across from the stadium at the Coosa Street deck. On the weekends and after 5 during the week, street parking is free.
